Plumbing Reform 2013
From the 1st of January 2013 the Office of Fair Trading will become the state's single plumbing and drainage regulator for all on site plumbing and drainage works.
NSW Fair Trading has delegated inspections and enforcement powers to regional councils so they may continue conducting plumbing and drainage inspections.
Riverina Water County Council will require the licensed plumber to fill in the required information on the "Notice of Work" (NoW) and submit the form no later than two (2) business days before any work is carried out.
Please note that Riverina Water only does water plumbing inspections so only fill in the Work of Water Supply section on the Notice of Work.
The Work of Sanitary Drainage is inspected by Wagga Wagga City Council so the licensed plumber will have to take out a Notice of Work with the plumbing section at Wagga Wagga city Council, please do not fill this section out on Riverina Water's Notice of Work form.
First and final inspections will still be done, so the licensed plumber will need to call the Compliance Officer on 0417234924 or email email@example.com to book an inspection. Once all plumbing works is compliant the licensed plumber needs to fill in and submit a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) to Riverina Water within (2-7) business days of work being carried out. Note that when a NoW is filled in it will duplicate to the CoC forms.
Fees and charges for the Notice of Work and inspection will remain at $98.50.
Monthly invoices will still be sent out to the licensed plumber but you can pay when you fill out the NoW please ring administration on 02 69220608
